My camp story

 Camp 2020

On monday we arrived at school and had to put our gear beside the waka hoe sign. Later on after the bell rang we finally finished packing our gear and left (AFTER LIKE 30MINUTES) Then it took like 3 and a half hours to get to Tapotupotu bay don't worry i know what your thinking thats 4 hours of your day wasted!!!!!! Crazy right but anyways lets keep going.Once we actually got to tapotupotu bay we had a nice short talk about safety and expectations then we went off to set up our tents which was boring but worth it.When we finished putting up the tents we went down to the estuary which was fun walking on the beach and we also went for a quick swim.That night (Monday night)We got warm and we were supposed to be going floundering but some of us were playing tackle on the beach girls vs boys,it was fun but then we got bored because us girls kept winning and we felt sorry for the boys because most of them were getting their body pulled apart haha.We finished our night with a couple of games of mafia and a milo then bed.The next day we had to wake up right and early and i forgot who woke me up but all i know is i wasn't happy with them but i had to get up so off i went in my sleeping bag.(10 minutes later) finally i finished my hair and finished my shower so i could go to karakia and have breakfast.When i entered the kitchen i noticed i was the only one who done my hair so yeah,(After breakfast and karakia)Our first activity on tuesday was Cape Reinga we walked the whole way and our S.C was to persevere during our activity and we all accomplished it and had fun while we were at it.The next activity was going to te paki sand dunes and we had so much fun there, we went boogie boarding down the sand dunes and we even tried it standing up some of us accomplished but some just need more practise.Before we left we saw hot.dogg which you may not know him, he is famous on instagram but he posted Tane-kahas and Hereoras Challenge i guess we wasted a lot of time waiting for him to go down and why im saying this is because most of us waited when we were not allowed and we were supposed to get in the vans but we waited and then when he finally went down he went slow as so we just left.Later that night we just sat and talked and then at about 10:20 we went to bed .On wednesday again we woke up early like 6:00 but i think i got woken up by Tane-Kaha and he was being cheeky quite literally the only way he got me up was making me chase after him,Then after we finished karakia our first activity was going for a morning walk to the bridge.We were doing that  umm uh that's right we did our compass challenge and then it started raining then most of us went for a swim.And yeah we finished with dinner had some convos and a had a milo.Then BED.The next day which was i think thursday 4 days into the week yeah that's about right,Anyways that day we were trying to make the most of the second to last day of camp and i think we firstly went for a morning walk first and then we went back to camp but it was only me.Tane-Kaha & Soraya who went for a walk that time and Soraya got her fishing line stuck in the mud,luckily the hero whaea mary was to the rescue and she got it out supposingly but i got there first and i was tired from running so i sat down and Tane-Kaha thought and nearly fell off the bridge so yeah anyways we started to walk back to camp and me and Soraya ditched Tk and walked in the front of everybody and done tiktoks,anyways when we got back to camp we went for a swim and once nearly everyone was out but me,Tk,Soraya and Harlym and we just had a long convo and then we all got out.That night we had a disco party to celebrate how good camp has been.With done tiktoks and danced but only one boy got up to dance which was Tk then we got told to go to bed so everybody on the left side of the kitchen had a party (Which includes me) without the teachers knowing but then Whaea Gaylene kinda heard and then we got sent to bed,for realz this time.The next morning we got to sleep in but that morning i didnt i woke up at 1 in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep so i went for a walk on the beach and then it was like 3 in the morning when i finished my walk and then eventually i made it up the hill back to bed and asleep then i woke up again at i think 7 but this time i woke up with Angel and we went rolling down the hill in our sleeping bags and then we woke up Tk and Harlym to see if they wanna come for a walk with us on the beach but then i remembered that we have karakia first anyways like 30 minutes later finally it was karakia and we went all hyped up,After breakfast we dismantled our tents and the gazeebow and then we left.

With a one week camp we actually became friends like the whole camp.

DON'T JUDGE YOUR FRIENDS BEFORE GETTING TO KNOW THEM PROPERLY!!!!!!
